New tilting system for tubes straightener area.
The client Tubos Reunidos ( Spain), wanted to bypass the straightener installed in his facilities and demanded to TPI to develop a complete solution ( engineering, manufacturing and erection), tailormade.
Desing, manufacturing, erection and commissioning of one system of bypass in straightener area considering 2 sets of tilting equipment for tubes until 15 meters and 14 Tn of weight and 3 units of wireless transport cars.
Each tilting equipment of tubes is hydraulically actioned that allows 360º degrees of movement of the supports for the quick positioning waiting for the new tube to be tilted.
The cars are wireless controlled and are positioned automatically according to the length of the tubes to be processed; ie for the shortest tubes, only 2 cars would be used and in case of the longest, 3 cars positioned in a way to distribute the theorical weigh would be used. It´s not necessary that the cars were charged ( by the tube) to keep the distance between the cars during the translation. In case that any tube doesn´t touch any car, the uncharged car keeps the movement in the same way that if it was charged during the translation.
Solution:
The client TUBOS REUNIDOS had de need to bypass the straightener for a type of tubes to be processed. For this reason, TPI supplied 2 units of Tilting equipment and 3 units of transport cars, for the movement of the tubes from one side to the other of the straightener.
