New coil cars and 90º turning equipment
The client demanded a complete modification of the entry (loading area), of the pickling line and degreasing line in ARCELORMITTAL (France)
Desing, manufacturing, and erection supervision of 2 units of coil cars and 1 unit of 90º turning equipment, and revamping of existing coil car, for the modification of the coil loading in the pickling line, that was made by an electric actioned coil car (with batteries), driving in a ¼ circle trajectory for the coils loading.
The client had a lot of maintenance problems with the existing system, and decided modify the pickling line entry reusing the existing electrical coil car, making a revamp on it, to be used in the movement from the coil storage warehouse saddle to the new 90º turning saddle.
Solution:
In the pickling line, the existing electrical coil car that employs batteries, was substituted by a new hydraulic coil car, and the revamping of the existing coil car and the 90º turning equipment for coils, in order to avoid the circular way for loading. Another similar coil car was supplied for the degreasing line.
