New recoiler and exit section.

Design, manufacturing, erection and commissioning of the recoiler Nº2 for tin plate mill, supplying new beltwrapper, revamping of existing uncoiler, revamping of existing coil car, new tension units and conveyors and new threading table.

In this project un existing uncoiler was modified completely with its corresponding change of the reduction rate (i) and the revamping of the coil car, adding new loading cells. The uncoiler was transformed to recoiler and a new beltwrapper was installed on it. The whole new structure and conveyors and pinch rolls and the new threading, including the safety devices for the new section was supplied by TPI.

Solution

ARCELORMITTAL stopped one line an wanted to reuse the uncoiler to be used as recoiler Nº2 for a tinplate mill.  The uncoiler was revamped to recoiler thanks that the existing revamped uncoiler was in the same axis of the tinplate mill, and new equipment were supplied as new beltwrapper conveyors, tension units and threading table, reaching the objective of install a new recoiler Nº2.
