Equipment for the prevention of telescopicity in coils (COILFORM)

Installed in two lines of ARCELORMITTAL, a temper line and an inspection line for galvanized and temper.

TPI have created a piece of equipment (COILFORM) to eliminate telescopicity in the coils that already have this defect and are already strapped, without having to take out the strip. It is designed to be able to eliminate telescopicity both in the core of the coil and on the outside. It is installed in two lines of ARCELORMITTAL, a temple line and an inspection line for galvanized and temple. It is designed to function continuously in a walking beam or evacuation of a line or “island” type way to recover the pads from one part of the factory or from all of it.

This equipment will avoid subsequent re-processing and possible returns by the clients. In this way we improve the image of our clients thanks to the solution applied.
